According to CCPIA monthly bulletin of statistics of China Agrochemicals, in October, VWAP (volume weighted average price) of glyphosate TC decreased by over 10% month-on-month, the largest drop during the past 22 months. Seen from the VWAP tendency chart, price of glyphosate TC kept on going down from March 2014, even though there was a slight increase in Jul because of the glyphosate scrutiny result came out, the overall trend didn’t change.

Although glyphosate market didn’t perform well, manufacturers still operate as usual. In October, output and sales volume both kept same level with that of September. The expected demand from overseas didn’t bring a purchasing season to China glyphosate market. In the AgroChemEx Conference 2014, which was held in the end of October, main manufacturers of glyphosate, Wynca and Fuhua both expressed their thoughts on the industry. One thing they believe is: glyphosate price will come back to a reasonable level, and keep on developing under the supervision of environmental protection scrutiny.
